There are three ways to get in Hunter Valley from Sydney, depending on where you are coming from.
By train
You can take a CityRail ticket to Maitland that will cost you around 20$ to 50$, or you can take a ticket to Morisset costing 20$ to 40$. Then, after reaching either of the locations, you can take a bus from there to Cessnock that will cost you around 3$ – 6$. And finally, after reaching Cessnock, you can take a taxi to Hunter Valley, which will take you to your destination in about 20 minutes.
You can also reach hunter valley by taking the countryside express service from Sydney central to the Singleton Station. This is a 7-station ride to Cessnock for about 30$ – 55$. After reaching Cessnock, you’ll be required to take a taxi to hunter valley.
By self-driving to hunter valley
If you are a fun-loving person and want to try everything first hand, self-driving to hunter valley can be a good idea; keep in mind to read the road signs well as many times this can be confusing.
